Of course I looooooooove stress. A good way to get stress is to make 2 costumes without a clue, 0-100 in only three weeks(in case of the other it was 70, but more on that hier.)

So yes, without knowing how to make any of that, I managed to sew a top that surprised me, an enormous circle skirt and more than 12 yards of frills in split two weeks. NEVER AGAIN! (Never say never, right? -.-; )

As usual, I of course made all the patterns myself.

Strangely I only had to make little alterations to the pinned fabric. If though in the end my own butt was in the way again, I nevertheless had to acknowledge that it fit better with every step in progress.

Very important: always cut faux fur(real one too) from the back, with a knife! It is more precise, makes less of a mess and preserves the naturalness of the fringes. If that is not wanted, you can always trim it afterwards.

The zip is seperable and disappears in the fur.

Like I said, I'm suffering from a frill-trauma ever since. To show(and also believe it myself) I spread the stripes I'd sewn together on the floor. They took in almost the entire length of the flat.

The colour of the zip doesn't really matter, since it's invisible. But as the stripes on the overlay are black, it will nevertheless be hidden in case.

Most of all I like the swinging of the skirt though. ^^

See here. I merely replaced the cotton string with a cord in Hufflepuff colours and added an adjustable hook closure which I made from brass. (you can see it further above on the back view)
