The very first coat I ever made!!! :D

I have sewn a coat! in 2 1/2 weeks!

Drew patterns myself off a coat I already have. But since I'm freezing in it as - well - let's just say, it was off the flea market and really old and worn out even before I wore it for 5 winters+...
So, I decided I needed a new one.

And not enough, it's a reversible coat! Yet I 'm hardly able to use the pockets when the tartan fabric is on the outside. Since it is roughspun, I couldn't figure a way to add two more pockets including zips without making it all bulgy and horrible.

Nevertheless it is super comfortable, reaches my ankles and down half of my hands, has this perfect hood and yarn braiding all around. 10 functional buttons, 10 for decoration. Meanwhile I can button it up and undo it without sweating like hell. lol

And yes, I am proud of it. Proper photos will follow.

P.S.: I also felt the need to make myself a wearable pin cushion. ^^
