Twilight Princess
Princess Zelda of Hyrule is the name giver of the whole series and each of its games. Mainly she is the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom, the force of the goddess Nayru.
Next to Link and the antagonist Ganondorf she plays some kind of role in all the games, though in some she just does guest starring or is the heir of the Royal Family in other ways(like Tetra, a young pirate girl).
In Twilight Princess she has a major role again, being the one who surrenders to Zant, the self-proclaimed King of Twilight, for the wealth of Hyrule.
Mostly she stays quiet, pulling the strings in the back, while Link does the fighting. But in the end she can't get around helping Link in his face to face battle with the evil Ganondorf.
She is known to be skilled in fighting with bow and arrows. In Twilight Princess she also carries a sword but it is unclear whether she can actually fight with one.
