Now that was some fun! More than an hour in the bathroom with blunt pens without a sharpener and white clown makeup that was unwilling to hold, sweating like hell due to beeing nearly fully dressed. Fortunately I was dried before I had to put on the precious wig - which I ruffled with honest sympathy.

Then the actual fun began: Carnival Party! Tea-nipping with a drinking straw, watching the Frog King freak out and winding up a - slightly overtired  In-Rocker-Civvis Viking so he wasn't sure anymore whether I was a proud warrior or countrywoman or actually as schizophrenic as I behaved - or whether I even infected him with whatever kind of mental illnes.

All in all, a Tea-Party in a class of its own. ^^

I actually was brave enough to go to the workshop like that - and even worked on something: the chain mail shirt for TP Link. Unfortunately I couldn't do more since a bad mistake on the paper template of the cardboard mask resulted in a too big space between the eye holes. That was also the reason why I didn't go for watching the procession - and was cross-eyed for about 3h after I took off the mask at home. XD

But it was fun nevertheless. ^^

2008 - Amish Woman

It seems I was quite fascinated of this community's way of living then. Their connection to old traditions - of course it is necessary to question the ruthlessness of some groups hereof, but the idea of their life by itself, if in some respects backwardly, is basically sustainable.

Long story cut short, I'm totally into traditional clothing.

2006 - Winter Princess

Oh yes, the earthwire(or rather, headwire). <.< Fact! Some type electrized me with his plastic jacket in the middle of the crowd watching the carnival procession. That part of my head was numb the next day even! -.-;

But well, the things you do for portly representing the glistening season...

Total time to adorn myself: 45min. Don't ask how long it takes to detangle the hair.

(with some sensitivity about half as long :P )
